When you really look into it, the differences between online casinos can be really small. Yet, small things can have significant consequences. There’s a lot of variation in what this really means depending on what sort of casino we are talking about. For example, white-label template casinos pretty much just have a different colour scheme when compared to each other.

Brand name casinos, on the other hand, have been building their image for decades, specialising in different things. They might offer all the same games as the newest online casinos, but they have had their connection with the software providers for years. This sort of legacy also affects customer service.

All that aside, what are some core aspects that you should consider in any online casino?

First and foremost, always check the license. I would never advse playing in online casinos without a license, and it’s even a bit sketchy (even if not technically illegal) to play in casinos that don’t have a license from your country. Now, just like with bonuses, licenses are something you really do need to read up on, to understand how all this works.

Payments, which is deposits and withdrawals, is another important factor. And this is a really easy thing to understand: simply check if the casino supports your favourite payment method, if there are any fees, how long their processing times are, and if there are any restrictions. Today most online casinos should have any and all transactions processed within 24 hours from their end (they can’t affect how long it takes for your bank or provider to process the transaction of course). Casinos shouldn’t generally charge fees, and there shouldn’t be any hidden terms and conditions. Cryptocurrencies are a bit of an open question at the moment.

…and those terms and conditions are the next step to consider. Specifically, what is generally called predatory terms and conditions. Not a hard concept to understand, it’s simply rules that try to make winning and cashing out next to impossible.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to read all of them. Just know that there are a couple of things to look out for. Win limit is the most important of these. Whether it’s for bonuses or for real money doesn’t matter. If there are any win limits at all, choose a different casino. The sole exception to this is no deposit bonuses.

Support. You’re not likely to run into any technical issues at most sites, but in case you do, it’s best to always have live chat. Any casino without one isn’t really worth trying out.
